NOKKA RESTAURANT, HELSINKI
”It has been great to work with Workwear by Tauko and develop the workwear for our staff. It is so amazing how recycled materials can be used for such a different purpose!”
IT ALL STARTED BY THE BALTIC SEA IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD OF KATAJANOKKA – HELSINKI WHERE BOTH THE FINE DINING RESTAURANT NOKKA AND OUR DESIGN STUDIO ARE LOCATED.
Whilst searching for an alternative to highly formal workwear that values a transparent and local production chain, the restaurant manager from Nokka got in contact with us. The angular apron dress and big pocket half apron are designed for the front of the house staff. This workwear has been in use ever since and it’s obviously the best uniform the Nokka staff has ever worn. As a bonus factor, the Workwear production supports the ideology already given in the concept of the restaurant is offering: ingredients bought from VIP – Very Important Producers.
Laura wears our Angular apron dress with detachable suspenders and adjustable press button fastening on the back. Harri wears our Big pocket half apron with an extra pocket for corkscrew. Both made from our 100% recycled fabric, locally produced and crafted with care.
